Use the same keyboard shortcut to open the side window to cycle though clipboard items

Whenever I press the same keyboard shortcut to show the side window, after the window is shown, it would be nice if it cycled through the copied items, similar to using the down arrow. So, I press, for example, cmd + esc, and it shows the window. While the window is open, if I press the same cmd + esc, it goes to the second item, etc. Or if I press number 1, it pastes the first one, etc.
